PoliTO at a glance

For more than 150 years, Politecnico di Torino has been one of the most prestigious public institutions, both on the Italian and the international scope, for education, research, technological transfer, and services in all sectors of Architecture and Engineering. Politecnico di Torino was founded in 1859 as Scuola di Applicazione per gli Ingegneri (Technical School for Engineers), and it became Regio Politecnico di Torino in 1906. A long history actualised the University as a reference point for education and research in Italy and Europe: a Research University of international level that attracts students from over 100 countries and pioneers over 700 collaborations per year with industries, public institutions, and local organizations.

Event agenda

A PhD is a fundamental step for an academic career, but it also plays an important role in working in the research centres of national and international companies and reaching top positions outside the university world.

Politecnico di Torino, through highly innovative projects funded by the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (PNRR), is increasing the number of PhD scholarships. Around 90% of PhD positions have financial support now.

Join us for the PhD Virtual Open Days to learn more about how to apply for one of the PhD programmes offered by Politecnico di Torino.
