Transport plays a pivotal role in driving economic activity within our nation. In 2019, the transport and logistics sector accounted for approximately 13 percent of the country's GDP. The demand for highly skilled transport professionals remains constant to ensure the smooth functioning of our transport infrastructure. At Vilnius Tech Faculty of Transport Engineering, we are dedicated to nurturing and equipping the next generation of specialists in this field.
Our faculty offers engaging and promising study programs. Graduates of our first and second cycle programs in Transport Engineering or Transport Engineering Economics and Logistics embark on fulfilling careers in various industries and organizations. They are involved in innovative, well-compensated roles that revolve around cutting-edge machinery and technology. Our alumni excel in vehicle maintenance and repair, cargo and passenger transportation, logistics management, technical inspections, research and development, machine enhancement, and traffic safety.
Students have the opportunity to enrich their studies through one or two semesters abroad, internships, and doctoral programs. Our faculty also fosters partnerships with foreign universities, research institutions, and industrial companies, providing valuable internships for both students and lecturers. Exceptional students are eligible for scholarships from leading transport companies such as AB Lietuvos Geležinkeliai and UAB Girteka, further supporting their academic endeavors.
Automotive Engineering (along with transport engineering) is a branch of vehicle engineering, incorporating elements of mechanical, electrical, electronic, software and safety engineering. This study programme is applied to: design, manufacture and operation of motorcycles, automobiles and trucks and their respective engineering subsystems.

Such professionals will be able not only to conduct research, but also to solve real-world technological problems in transport engineering.
The Master of Transport Engineering course offers one of the following four specializations - Automobile Transport Engineering, Railway Transport Engineering, Transport Engineering Management, Transport Machinery and Equipment, Maritime Transport Engineering and Logistics.

The aim of this Master's study program is to prepare specialists with an in-depth knowledge of the theories of transport, logistics, management and business sciences, market trends, research methodology, process analysis and problem-solving methods. Such professionals understand the theoretical problems in the field of transport and logistics, practical market processes in transport and logistics services and their causes, are aware of the possibilities of applying research methods and conducting research into these phenomena. Professional engineers have the ability to assess the impact of solutions on the environment, business and society, and have the potential to offer innovative options.
